Philadelphia, April 20, 2006 - The Center for Professional Innovation and Education (CfPIE), the global leader in life sciences education and training, announces the addition of a new training program designed to assist industry personnel in understanding the complexities of selecting and managing external vendors.
This latest addition to CfPIE's extensive roster of cutting-edge training programs - 'Outsourcing for the Therapeutic Products Industry' - is a two-day class that will be of interest to those responsible for selecting and managing vendors. This course will present a step-by-step guide for those who are considering or may already be outsourcing some portion of their work processes or departments, as well as, providing practical advice concerning a variety of tools that can be utilised to create, manage or troubleshoot their outsourcing efforts.
The program will also cover issues such as identifying and selecting outsourcing opportunities, identifying and managing the right vendor, examples of commonly outsourced functions including case studies of successful implementation and how to effectively exit your outsourced venture.
This course has been developed industry expert Kay Monroe. Ms. Monroe has extensive pharmaceutical / biotech industry outsourcing experience within a variety of R&D functions. She has served as Vice President of Operations for Lundbeck Research USA, as well as, a variety of management positions with Genentech and Cerus Corp. Ms. Monroe holds a BS in Animal Science from UC Davis and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA.
