CfPIE Introduces Training to Assist Life Sciences Personnel in Interpreting Laboratory Data

23 June 2006

Philadelphia, June 23, 2006 - The Center for Professional Innovation and Education (CfPIE) today announced a new laboratory training program intended to give life sciences personnel the ability to more effectively and efficiently interpret complex laboratory data. 'Introduction to Statistical Analysis of Laboratory Data' is a two-day course with an initial offering at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern, PA on November 30th and December 1st, 2006.

This course is designed as an introduction to the statistical principles of laboratory data analysis and quality control that form the basis for the design and analysis of laboratory investigations. The focus of topics will benefit R&D managers, analytical laboratory supervisors and staff, manufacturing and production professionals, scientists, technicians, and others who wish to comprehend and interpret methods of data analysis relevant to laboratory experimentation. In an increasingly scrutinized regulatory environment, the need for understanding of laboratory data is critical to the success of compounds and products not just for lab scientists, but for those involved in R&D, quality control and manufacturing as well.

"This course adds to our roster of programs dealing with topics vital to pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device personnel. Much of what our clients deal with on a day-to-day basis involves fully understanding and maximizing the use of complex laboratory and study data. The issues addressed in this training provide comprehensive instruction on how regulatory agencies view data in support of regulatory submissions, laboratory studies and clinical trial documents," stated Mark G. Mazzie, Managing Director of CfPIE.
