Medidata Rave's ease of deployment, reliable reporting features and user-friendly training tools help enable leading CRO to grow global client base

Medidata Solutions, a global provider of Electronic Clinical Data Capture (EDC), management and reporting solutions, and INC Research, a therapeutically-focused Contract Research Organization (CRO) with a trusted process for delivering reliable results, today announced their one-year ASPire to Win™ partnership milestone. In addition to INC Research's experience offering eClinical solutions to its customers, keys to the success of this partnership include Medidata Rave's fast and easy deployment capabilities, robust reporting tools and ability to handle any size global study.

Since November 2006, INC Research has implemented Medidata Rave in 23 studies for 14 sponsors, across Phases I – IV and in a range of categories including CNS, pediatrics, oncology and infectious disease. Medidata Rave has been deployed to manage trials of all sizes, from three to 1,000 participants, and in global locations including Asia, Europe and South America. The partnership has also yielded 15 Rave-certified study builders within INC Research’s clinical programming and data management team in the U.S. and Europe. With these certifications, INC Research can independently build and maintain studies in Rave and easily deploy Rave at the site level.

Medidata Rave plays an integral role in INC Research's Trusted Process, which is its four-phased approach to proactively lead customers through their drug and device development programs with repeatable and measurable methodology. Rave helps ensure predictably dependable outcomes and actionable results by increasing efficiency, decreasing time to trial completion and maintaining clean data in the system at all times.

"With Rave as part of our trusted process, we are able to launch Rave-enabled studies quickly and efficiently and provide our customers with a modern, flexible and single system for EDC and CDMS," said Alistair Macdonald, senior vice president of data services for INC Research. "In addition to easy deployment, Medidata Rave can run very complicated studies faster than any other system available today. Moreover, sites are clearly very comfortable working with the Medidata Rave platform, and data managers benefit from access to data in real time with Rave's built-in reporting tools, providing insight throughout trials."

In addition to Rave, INC Research has also been impressed with Medidata's services and support teams. "Medidata's work ethic aligns with ours – through open communication, rapid response to our questions and focus on customer care and management. We appreciate that Medidata continually strives to deliver on time and exceed our expectations. We look forward to the next phase of our relationship, which includes influencing product development based on market trends," said Macdonald.

"INC Research is an industry leader in its approach to EDC, and the clear investment in Rave knowledge transfer across its clinical and data services organizations will help streamline clinical processes for customers worldwide," said Tarek Sherif, CEO of Medidata Solutions. "We look forward to continuing our relationship into 2008 and beyond."
