Raleigh, NC – November 8, 2005 – INC Research®, a global contract research organization (CRO) specialized in central nervous system (CNS) and oncology clinical research, announced it was recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the region at Triangle Business Journal’s annual Fast 50 Awards ceremony on November 3, 2005.
The Raleigh, North Carolina-based INC Research ranked 9th on the list of 50. The rankings were determined by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, who evaluated and ranked locally headquartered private companies based on a formula that takes into account both dollar growth and percentage rate of growth over a three-year period.
"It is a great pleasure to receive this recognition from the Triangle Business Journal," says Jim Ogle, CEO of INC Research. "Since we established our global headquarters in Raleigh 5 years ago, in this location alone we’ve seen a triple digit increase in our headcount, expanded into additional office space 4 times and seen year over year growth in revenue. We are proud of the solid reputation we’ve built within the drug development industry, with Raleigh as the base from which we oversee operations in 17 offices and 32 countries worldwide".
"Each of the Fast 50 companies has contributed a great deal to the Triangle community," says Charlene Grunwaldt, Triangle Business Journal publisher. "The success of these dynamic companies is an inspiration for business leaders everywhere."
All 50 winning companies are profiled in an in-depth special Fast 50 Awards section in Triangle Business Journal’s November 4 edition.
