Jai Research Foundation (JRF) is a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)/21 CRF Part 58 compliant preclinical Contract Research Organisation (CRO), headquartered at Vapi, Gujarat, about 150km north of Mumbai, India, supported by an international office in the UK.

JRF has the endorsement of compliance from Dutch GLP monitoring authority with the OECD principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

JRF provides integrated preclinical services including toxicology / pharmacology, chemistry, ecotoxicology, environmental fate and metabolism, and bioanalytical services to the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and chemical industry. Being an Indian preclinical contract research organization, JRF offers cost effective safety data in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)/21 CFR Part 58 to meet the regulatory authority’s requirements.

TOXICOLOGY / PHARMACOLOGY STUDIES

JRF offers a number of studies of preclinical toxicological / pharmacological and pharmaco-kinetic studies, for global pharma registrations. As part of the toxicology / pharmacology studies, all studies are performed on rodent species by various routes of administration. All the studies on toxicology / pharmacology are undertaken in compliance with the ICH / EMEA guidelines for the following studies:

1. Systemic and local tolerance studies
2. Repeated dose toxicity [28, 90/180 days/carci]
3. In-vivo and in-vitro mutagenecity studies
4. Male and female fertility studies
5. Prenatal development / two generation reproduction studies
6. PK/PD, ADME studies

JRF has a state-of-the-art barrier maintained facility, which is designed to house Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) or Viral Antibody Free (VAF) as well as transgenic or immunosuppressed rodents for carrying out studies on toxicology / pharmacology.

The in-house histopathological and clinical chemistry expertise ensures conduct of studies in conformity with good science and OECD principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)/21 CFR Part 58.

ENVIRONMENTAL FATE AND METABOLISM

JRF is a leading Contract Research Organisation (CRO) in India, offering environmental fate and metabolism testing services for crop protection, pharmaceutical, industrial chemicals, consumer product companies. JRF is a leading Indian CRO offering hydrolysis as well as photolysis studies, using hot and cold compounds, with identification of the end products in conformity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)/21 CFR Part 58.

The environmental fate and metabolism department also conducts analytical tests in order to measure chemical residue concentration in crops, soil and water, which are necessary to predict the environmental impact.
