LAB Research Inc is a leading in-vivo nonclinical Contract Research Organisation (CRO) with facilities in Canada, Hungary and Denmark. We provide contract research services primarily to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and agrochemical industries. We offer the full range of nonclinical studies necessary for the development of drugs intended for the treatment of human conditions or diseases or required for the certification or registration of non-medicament products.

PRE-CLINICAL SERVICES AND RESEARCH MODEL SERVICES

LAB Research provides all of the pre-clinical services that are required for a sponsor to submit an IND or equivalent package and move a drug candidate into clinical trials. The company also provides services required to enter phase II or phase III clinical trials.

SPECIALISED DRUG DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

Over the years, LAB Research has become an innovator in the development of specialized models and in the conduct of nonroutine toxicology or safety pharmacology programs.

Specifically, LAB Research Denmark is a leader in the use of minipigs for toxicology programs and offers the best background database for this species. This facility was the first to use this species in regulatory toxicology studies for a worldwide client. LAB Research Canada offers industry-leading expertise in the conduct of nonclinical studies in nonhuman primates, as well as the industry's leading single site telemetry capability and safety pharmacology services.

LAB Research Hungary offers GLP compliant research facilities for the agrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical markets. It is a leader in ecotoxicology and combines testing and technical solutions that address regulatory, ecological and environmental toxicology issues. In 2007, LAB Research Hungary became an Approved Service Provider and awarded the “ReachReady” seal for its facility and services.

EXPANSION AT LAB RESEARCH INC

In 2006 LAB Research focused on expansion investing $25 million and thereby adding 30% capacity to its global platform. Moreover, the expanded facility at our Hungarian site represents one of the largest housing facilities in Europe.

During 2007, LAB Research announces a number of hires including senior CRO scientists expanding the company's scientific team and significantly enhancing its ability to serve an ever-widening client base in Europe, North America and Asia. 

In the fall of 2007, LAB Research Canada broke ground on its second expansion, which will add an additional 7,711m² (83,000ft²) for a total of 15,793m² (170,000ft²) to its Canadian facility, increasing its housing room from 36 to 80, which will also include 12 inhalation toxicology rooms suited to conduct inhalation toxicology studies.
