Evaluating the Cytotoxic Effect of Compounds Against Tumourgenic Cell Lines

16 May 2007

Neurofit is pleased to announce that we now can offer studies to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of compounds against tumourgenic cell lines. These in vitro assays evaluate the potency of compounds to inhibit cancer cell lines proliferation. Proliferation assays can be performed on a panel of cancer cell lines derived from a variety of human tissues such as MCF-7 (human breast cancer) or SK-MES1 (human lung cancer).

Briefly, cells are cultured in multi-well plates and allowed to grow over two to four days after the addition of the compounds. A colorimetric assay is used to measure cell growth. Culture conditions (medium, number of plated cells, growing period, etc.) are adapted to each cell line. In addition, methods and protocols can of course be adapted to client's request.

If you need further information concerning this assay, please do not hesitate to contact us.
