Boost Labcare

Boost Labcare - Calibration and Validation Services and Laboratory Equipment

Boost Labcare is a UKAS accredited organisation offering a variety of calibration and validation services. We can calibrate a vast range of laboratory equipment from autoclaves to media preparators. Boost Labcare also offers the validation of storage areas and with the use of our air samplers we can determine the bioburden within your clean rooms. We are here to help and are happy to discuss any calibration and validation requirements you may have.

UKAS calibration services

In today’s climate of strict traceability, calibration and validation of laboratory equipment is a vital component in this process. Boost Labcare is not just available to conduct the UKAS calibration of your equipment but is able to help and advise the customer through, the sometimes daunting, process of calibration and validation.

We have over 20 years experience working in the medical and laboratory field and understand the up-to-date calibration and validation requirements demanded by current accreditation bodies.

By offering an extensive service we are able to calibrate a broad range of equipment in one visit. This allows Boost Labcare to offer competitive pricing by utilising our time efficiently and effectively.

Laboratory equipment service maintenance contracts

We can also offer competitive service maintenance contracts on your laboratory equipment and the routine calibration can be built into the contracts, giving you peace of mind in the performance of your equipment.

Calibration – the benefits:

  • Satisfy internal and external audits
  • Proving equipment performance
  • Traceability through a process
  • Improving standards
  • Important factor in IQ, OQ and PQ

Boost Labcare is a UKAS accredited laboratory for temperature, pressure and time and offers an extensive range of on-site UKAS calibration services. Please see below a list of some of the equipment we are able to offer. If you require calibration of other items of equipment not on this list please do not hesitate to contact us.

Process and environmental chamber validation

Validation of processes and environmental chambers is essential to any successful manufacturing or R&D operation. Storage and warehouse temperatures have a direct impact upon the quality and integrity of the stored products.

In order to assess the performance of a chamber or storage environment, information about that system must be reliably gathered over a pre-determined period of time using an approved method and a set of instructions. The resulting data can then be analysed and detailed in a final report to determine suitability to the application.

The temperature mapping (testing of the various locations within the room), can help identify and address problems within your operation. It can also ensure that the proper documentation is available to customers and regulatory bodies that temperature sensitive products are correctly stored.

Boost Labcare is not only available to map your storage areas, warehouses and equipment but also will happily help in compiling suitable validation protocols. Boost Labcare is a UKAS accredited body and our methods and equipment are approved by UKAS.

Air sampling

The microbiological control of clean rooms, controlled environments and production areas is a major consideration of the quality assurance schedule conducted by pharmaceutical and food production sites. The bioburden of these environments can be determined by using slit-to-agar air samplers to collect the microorganisms onto a 150mm media plate followed by incubation. The contamination level can then be determined by counting the visible colonies on the plate.

Because the speed of rotation of the plate and the sampling time are precisely controlled the microbial growth can be determined quantitatively and from a real time occurrence of the contamination.

Boost Labcare can conduct this evaluation on a contract basis using the tried and tested Mattson Garvin air sampler and results can be made available usually within48 hours. We will conduct an initial site survey and produce a schedule acceptable to the QC and QA departments.
