Use of the Fios Genomics Analysis Approach for Determining Immunity Pathways

This study determined which immunological pathways are responsible for clearance of parasitic infections in people affected by river blindness.

192 blood samples were obtained from patients with different clinical presentations and uninfected healthy controls. These were split into three groups: endemic normals (n=55), patent infection (n=48) and latent infection (n=71). RNA samples were hybridised to Illumina Human HT-12 arrays.
